“ One of the best taco shops in North County San Diego, hands down! I first checked out Donato's a year or so ago while working on a project nearby at the recommendation of a couple of my guys. Sure enough, the hype was real! Donato's affords it's customers with sizeable portions of great food at good prices. Every time I've picked up food from Donato's in the past it's been for crew sizes of 9-12 people and the orders have always been right. I also like that their hot sauces are pre-cupped because it makes it easier when picking up a big order versus having to fill a bunch on my own while holding up the line. This morning I was picking up an order of 19 burritos and boy, they nailed it! I called the order in yesterday afternoon for the burritos some of which had special requests and everything turned out great and as ordered. Additionally, they made taking the order and payment over the phone extremely simple and even texted me a copy of the receipt from their Clover system which made submitting my expense report very simple. If you are looking for a great place to pick up a large order, look no further because these guys also have party and catering options too. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a taco shop which I actually prefer. I care more about the quality of the food versus the interior décor. I was also shocked this morning to see that they knocked down a wall and put a little cantina area in off to the side which is great for people who want to spend some time there and hang out. I think that's an awesome little add-on they did. If you find yourself in the UTC or Miramar area and want some good Mexican food, definitely check out Donato's. These guys are awesome! ”

“ I really wish I would've discovered this Taco Shop a lot sooner. This is without a doubt, the best Taco Shop in the area and I think I've tried most of them. What makes this Taco Shop stand out Is they have amazing salsa , the restaurant is beautiful and their food is well above average. I love how early they open . I was able to order food at 6:30 AM before I went to work. That was awesome. . I highly recommend their Carnitas chimichanga. . It is without a doubt, one of the best chimichangas I've ever eaten . I love that they put enchilada sauce on it . I highly recommend eating at this restaurant . ”

“ The burritos are big here, completely packed. They're kinda pricey but definitely don't skimp at all. The salsa is super good, there's 3 different kinds. Plenty of space to sit. Service was quick and friendly. We don't live nearby but we would be back the next time we're in the area. ”

“ Donato's has the same quality and menu items as many similar taco shops in the area. Their food is about equal to Rigoberto's and better than Roberto's. Their fish taco is not as good as Rubio's. Their lot is in a small shared strip mall with numerous other good restaurants. Parking may be a challenge. This location used to be a Roberto's many years ago. It seems like they did not change the interior or even the booths when they took it over. That is not a problem, just nostalgic. Thor pricing is slightly lower than comparable taco shops, but the quantity seems on par with others. The people who work here are usually friendlier than comparable shops and are not prejudiced like elsewhere or at least don't show it. On the whole, Donato's is worth a try to see if they make ur favorite menu items elsewhere to an equal or superior quality at a slightly lower price. ”

“ This was a very good place, although I feel it was a little pricier than it should have been. Friendly service, and one of the cooks was singing the Spanish songs at the top of his lungs. The woman who took my order was also singing aloud, so they must have a lot of fun back there. The burrito came very fast, and was very hot, but delicious. The chips were just okay. It's a clean, nice place in a strip mall on Miramar Road. I liked it. Just wish the price was more in line. ”
